Rock Climbing Party

"No party is any fun unless seasoned with folly." ~Desiderius Erasmus

My boys had so much fun at W's rock climbing party in the fall, that we had to reprise it again for B's 7th birthday party.  I was worried that the kids would still be too little and thus too scared to really get into it, but that worry was unfounded.  They all had a great time.  Burke Swim and Racquet Club really knows how to throw a party.  The hosts of the party really know how to handle the kids and are very good with them.

Pizza and cake was provided.  Sad for me, because I was hoping to come up with a fun rock climbing birthday cake, but really, saved me a lot of time and headache.  (And disappointment when it wouldn't have come out exactly the way I was envisioning in my mind.)

And an hour and a half of climbing time.

I think the parents were especially grateful.  I mean, 90 minutes of activity, in the evening.  These kids hopefully went home and crashed.

I carried the whole "rock" themed through to the goody bags too:  Pop rocks, rock candy, actual samples of rocks, a Clif bar (get it?) and a bracelet that says "I rock"
